Sarah has extensive industry experience as a backing vocalist and signed artist as the lead singer of UK based, indie rock group, Black Box Recorder. As often happens circumstances lead her to teach and Sarah took on a new hat, that of vocal nerd!
Sarah talks to Line about her career and teaching – discussing challenges and victories, how she hadn’t realised just how much teaching is psychology, how she was surprised that so many singers need guidance to understand the importance of the lyric and how vital the art of patience is to the singing teacher. Sarah also shares how she continues to build on the foundation she acquired from the BAST course and gives some tips for budding singing teachers.
